Michael Gross and the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe

Michael Gross and the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe

There's something really cool when you find out that someone you watched on television and in movies is a fellow model railroader. Tonight I had the privilege to learn more about Michael Gross, the man who, among many acting accomplishments, portrayed TV dad Steven Keaton on Family Ties for seven seasons. It becomes clear early on that he's no actor when it comes to being a model railroader; he's the real deal with a wealth of knowledge and a passion for all things railroading. Michael also tells us about his family roots in railroading, and how his grandfather's career in railroading inspired him to become a modeler and a railroader himself.

Check out Michael's appearance in
Rapido's "The Drop" - it’s a must see!
